Something you host · open beta

Your own Radiance Music, for you and your friends.

Radiance Music Server is a server you run. It splits songs, keeps one library for the friends you invite, and throws listening parties where everyone hears the same song at the same moment.

Deploy to Hostinger makes a Hostinger VPS with the server on it (a Hostinger plan you pay for). The guide works on any Linux server or a computer at home.

MAJK

The app, or the server?

They're two different things. Most people only need the app.

Radiance Music

The app: everyone downloads it

For your phone or computer. Search, like and save songs, sing along, split them on your own device and share them to your stories. Nothing to host.

Get the app

Radiance Music Server

The server: one person hosts it

On a VPS or a computer that's always on. It splits for everyone, keeps the shared library and holds the parties. Your friends don't install it: they join it from the app.

Deploy to Hostinger

What your server does

From nothing to a party

  1. 1

    Deploy it

Press Deploy to Hostinger (a VPS with Docker) or follow the guide on your own server. You type a setup key while it deploys: it's how the server knows it's you.

  2. 2

    Open it and claim it

Open your server's address, type the setup key and your name. It's your server now; it gets its splitter ready by itself.

  3. 3

    Invite your friends

Make an invite for each friend: a link or a QR, one per person.

  4. 4

    They join from the app

In Radiance Music: Settings → Servers → Join a server, then scan the QR or paste the link. Your server shows up with your name on it.

How big a server?

Splitting needs about 2.7 GB of memory while it works, and a split song takes about 30 MB of space. Playing and parties need very little.

Hostinger KVM 2

2 vCPU, 8 GB

Works: a song splits in about twice its own length.

Hostinger KVM 4

4 vCPU, 16 GB

A song splits in about the time it plays. Best for a group of friends.

A computer at home

4 cores, 8 GB or more

Free if it's always on; the guide shows how friends reach it.

Yours, on your server.

Radiance Music Server is free and open source, under the GPL-3.0, like the app. It runs on your server and answers only the people you invite; we never see your songs or your friends. It's an open beta: if something goes wrong, tell us at hello@radianceph.com. The code and the full guide are on GitHub.
